Abstract:
By using this protection circuit, the present invention ensures safety by detecting an abnormality in a secondary battery, detecting, for example, a phenomenon resulting in a decline in the safety of the secondary battery, and specifically, achieving early detection of micro shorts and alerting the user thereof or stopping use of the secondary battery. Provided is a secondary battery protection circuit which has a first memory circuit which is electrically connected to a secondary battery, a comparator circuit which is electrically connected to the first memory circuit, a second memory circuit which is electrically connected to the comparator circuit, and a power shutdown switch which is electrically connected to the second memory circuit, wherein the power shutdown switch is also electrically connected to the secondary battery, and the first memory circuit maintains the voltage value of the secondary battery using an analog method, and has a first transistor which has an oxide semiconductor.
