Abstract:

Provided is a shock-absorbing stopper with which it is possible, to a great extent, to minimize contact and sliding wear of a mating component such as a housing by an elastic member in a structure in which a hollow is provided to the outer peripheral surface of the elastic member. To achieve this purpose, an annular hollow is provided to the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical elastic member to which a fixed-side fitting is linked at one end and a movable-side fitting is linked at the other end, whereby the shock-absorbing stopper is sectioned into three parts: a small-diameter part in the hollow, a fixed-side large-diameter part positioned nearer to the fixed side than is the hollow, and a movable-side large-diameter part positioned nearer to the movable side than is the hollow. The outer diameter dimension of the movable-side large-diameter part is set to be smaller than the outer diameter dimension of the fixed-side large-diameter part, and the axial width of the movable-side large-diameter part is set to be smaller than the axial width of the fixed-side large-diameter part.
