Abstract:
The present technique pertains to a speech input device, a method therefor, and a program capable of facilitating estimates of speech direction. The speech input device comprises: a fixed part provided at a prescribed position; a moving part that moves relative to the fixed part; a microphone array attached to the fixed part; a speech direction estimation unit for estimating speech direction on the basis of a speaker's speech input through the microphone array; and a drive unit for driving the moving part as called for by the speech direction estimated. The speech input device can be used as a part of, for example, a smart speaker, a speech agent, or a robot.
