Abstract:
A spiral-wound battery (1) applied in the field of secondary batteries. The spiral-wound battery (1) is a battery formed by sequentially stacking and winding a first separator (10), a first electrode (30), a second separator (20) and a second electrode (40). A head portion of the first electrode (30) is an uncovered foil area and is electrically connected to a first electrode lug (50). A head portion of the second electrode (40) is an uncovered foil area and is electrically connected to a second electrode lug (60). A center line of the battery (1) in a width direction is a battery center line. A position at which the first electrode (30) first bends is a first bending position (303). A line passing through the first bending position (303) and parallel to the battery center line is a first bending line. A start end of the first electrode (30) is a first start end (302). A start end of the first separator (10) and a start end of the second separator (20) are between the first start end (302) and the second electrode lug (60). A distance from the first start end (302) to the first bending line is less than a distance from the second electrode lug (60) to the first bending line. The spiral-wound battery (1) is capable of reducing the number of separators used, increasing energy density and reducing costs.
