Abstract:
A split magnetic eddy current loss analysis method is provided which, by utilizing the results of a simple two-dimensional transient magnetic field analysis, enables analyzing eddy current loss in the three-dimensional eddy current field of a magnet. This split magnetic eddy current loss analysis method is characterized by: dividing into elements a surface perpendicular to the rotation axis of a rotating machine having a magnet and a magnetic body; performing two-dimensional magnetic field analysis; extracting, as a partial two-dimensional mesh, a partial region that includes the magnet from the region where the two-dimensional magnetic field analysis was performed; storing time series data of the permeability in each element of the partial two-dimensional mesh and time series data of the magnetic vector potential values in the boundary region of the partial two-dimensional mesh; forming a partial three-dimensional mesh by stacking the extracted partial two-dimensional meshes in the rotation axis direction to half the axial length of the magnet, and arranging a thin air layer mesh on the top; arranging the permeability at each time in the transient analysis in each element except for the thin air layer mesh of the partial three-dimensional mesh; in the edge in the rotation axis direction in the boundary region of the partial three-dimensional mesh, configuring as a boundary condition the product of the magnetic vector potential values at each time and the rotation axis direction side lengths; using the boundary condition to perform three-dimensional magnetic field analysis; and calculating the eddy current loss of the magnet.
