Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sprayable sunscreen cosmetic that is free from ultraviolet scattering agents causing whiteness and thus is transparent immediately after application or spraying, has an excellent ultraviolet shielding effect and imparts a good feeling in using, said sunscreen cosmetic further having an unconventional and innovative characteristic such that, when coming in contact with water, sweat, etc., the ultraviolet shielding effect thereof is not deteriorated but, on the contrary, enhanced. The present invention relates to a water-in-oil type emulsion sunscreen cosmetic that comprises (A) 6-40 mass% of an ultraviolet absorber, (B) an organic modified clay mineral, (C) an oily phase thickener other than (B), (D) a silicone-based surfactant having an HLB lower than 8, (E) a spherical resin powder, and (F) a volatile silicone oil, wherein the ratio [the total amount of component (B) and component (C)]/[the total amount of non-volatile liquid oil components other than (G) silicone oil] is 0.04 or more and less than 0.68. The sunscreen cosmetic according to the present invention is especially suitable for use by spraying from a spray, etc.
