Abstract:
Provided is a towel product which maintains the characteristics of a conventional honeycomb weave and is capable of improving water absorbency, lightness, and texture in comparison to the prior art. The basic structure of the towel product is the same as a conventional honeycomb weave structure. A first feature thereof is using hollow fibers having a hollow ratio of 30-60%. Since the warps and wefts in a honeycomb weave structure are constricted, the binding therebetween is loose. Thus, even if hollow fibers having a hollow ratio of 30-60% are used, the hollow center will not be excessively crushed. In other words, it is possible to maintain the shape of the hollow fibers. As a result of such a configuration, water absorbency, lightness, texture, and drying performance are improved. However, durability decreases slightly due to the first feature. As a second feature thereof, hollow fibers formed by twisting cotton having an effective fiber length of 25 mm to 42 mm are used. As a result, it is possible to maintain durability.
