Abstract:
This turbine comprises a turbine wheel that rotates about an axis O1, a turbine housing that accommodates the turbine wheel and defines an annular nozzle flow path on the outer circumferential side of the turbine wheel, and a plurality of small chord-pitch ratio nozzle vanes 6 provided with gaps therebetween in the circumferential direction of the nozzle flow path, wherein the turbine is configured such that each of the plurality of small chord-pitch ratio nozzle vanes 6 in a radial position different from that of a small chord-pitch ratio nozzle vane 6 adjacent in the circumferential direction, at positions where a hub-side wall surface that defines the nozzle flow path and the hub-side wall surface inside a shroud-side wall surface are connected. Consequently, when the pressure at a turbine inlet fluctuates greatly due to the exhaust pulsation of an engine, a moving vane incidence property can be greatly improved only through the use of the small chord-pitch ratio nozzle vanes 6, and turbine efficiency is improved in comparison to the prior art.
