Abstract:
Provided is an ultraviolet ray irradiation device the degree of influence of which on human bodies is suppressed. The ultraviolet ray irradiation device is provided with: a lamp house having a light-extraction surface formed on at least one surface thereof; an excimer lamp accommodated inside the lamp house at a position apart from the light-extraction surface in a first direction, and emitting ultraviolet rays belonging to a first wavelength band having a main emission wavelength of 190 nm to 225 nm; one pair of electrodes for applying a voltage to an arc tube of the excimer lamp; an optical filter disposed on the light-extraction surface, and substantially allowing ultraviolet rays of the first wavelength band to pass through but substantially not allowing ultraviolet rays having wavelengths of 240 nm to 300 nm to pass through; and a light-diffusing body disposed inside the lamp house with at least a portion thereof being arranged closer to the excimer lamp side than the optical filter in the first direction, and diffusing and reflecting incident light.
