Abstract:
A hydraulic pressure control unit has a belt clamping force increasing means which, on the basis of a braking force request from a driver, increases the belt clamping force, which originates from a primary pulley and a secondary pulley, to a prescribed value for preventing a belt from slipping due to the braking force, wherein, before a braking force request is made, the belt clamping force increasing means increases the belt clamping force within a range less than the prescribed value.
