Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle electronic control device, wherein a non-volatile memory comprises: a startup program region that includes a region for storing a startup program, which is not a target of a program rewrite, and a plurality of loader program regions respectively storing loader programs that can be the target of a program rewrite; and a control program region that stores a control program for controlling an on-vehicle device. When a program is rewritten in response to a program rewrite command from the outside, a processor rewrites the loader program in each of the plurality of loader program regions during the rewriting of the startup program region. When the vehicle electronic control device is started up, the loader program stored in a normal loader program region, among the plurality of loader program regions, is executed by the startup program, and the control program is started up by the loader program.
