Abstract:

The present invention provides a verification system with which it is possible to reduce the load of a cloud server and reduce the communication traffic volumes of the cloud server and edge servers. A cloud server 100 holds a main database (102) that stores all of registered data handled by the present system, and an edge server 200 arranged in the vicinity of a sensor 300 holds a sub-database (202) that stores a portion of the registered data. In the sub-database of each edge server 200 is stored only the registered data that is very likely to be verified by the edge server 200. The edge server 200 verifies detected data that is acquired by the sensor 300 with registered data in the sub-database, and when it is determined that registered data conforming to the detected data does not exist in the sub-database, transmits the detected data to the cloud server 100 and requests that the detected data be verified with registered data in the main database.
