Abstract:
Provided are a web joining device and a web joining method that enable web joining to be performed in a short period of time, and save labor for the work of an operator. A web joining device (100) is provided with a first support part (10), a second support part (20), a first joining member (30), and a second joining member (40). The first support part supports a first roll (R1) on which a first web (W1) is wound. The second support part supports a second roll (R2) on which a second web (W2) is wound. The second joining member, together with the first joining member, sandwiches the first web fed out from the first roll and the second web fed out from the second roll in an overlapped state. The first joining member and the second joining member weld the sandwiched first web and second web together.
