Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide absorptive resin composition particles having excellent effect of absorbing aqueous liquid, particularly blood.SOLUTION: There are provided absorptive resin composition particles that contain a polymer (A) containing a water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) and/or a vinyl monomer (a2) converted into the water-soluble vinyl monomer (a1) by hydrolysis as essential constitutional units, and a polyvalent hydroxyl group-containing compound (B) having a solubility parameter of 7.0-19.0 (cal/cm)and viscosity at 25°C of 20-8,000 mPa s, and contains 1.0-20 wt.% of the polyvalent hydroxyl group-containing compound (B) based on the weight of the polymer (A); and a production method including a step of crosslinking the surface of the polymer (A) with a surface crosslinking agent (d), and then a step of mixing the polyvalent hydroxyl group-containing compound (B) therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: None
