Abstract:
To provide an anode active material of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a base discharge potential (vs.Li/Li+), of low cost and excellent in charge/discharge cycle performance.
Oxide containing nickel and manganese expressed in formula: NixMnyOz (provided, 0.45≤x≤0.55, 0.9≤x+y≤1.1, 1.0≤z≤2.0) is used as the anode active material for the nonaqueous electrolyte electrochemical cell. Further, the above oxide has a half-value width at a diffraction peak appearing at 15°<2θ<20° and 30°<2θ<45° of 5°(2θ) or more in an X-ray diffraction method using CuKα beams.
