Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator capable of reducing an electrostatic capacity, and securing a fixed quantity of displacement required for injecting ink from an ink chamber.
SOLUTION: A plurality of piezoelectric layers and electrode layers composed of piezoelectric materials are laminated alternately, each piezoelectric layer among the electrode layers opposed in the laminating direction is formed as an active section expanded and contracted by applying a voltage to an electrode for the electrode layer, and the thickness of at least one layer in a plurality of the piezoelectric layers in the active sections is made thicker than those of other layers.
