Abstract:
An image display has a control section (16) which optimizes the over drive coefficient
by enhancing the accuracy of the prediction of the temperature of the display
panel (12) by using a temperature detecting section (14) such as a temperature
sensor provided in the image display and a time monitoring section (15) for monitoring
the operation elapsing time of the display panel. The image display measures
the response speed for itself, thereby optimizes the overdrive coefficient
for oneself, and displays a motion picture by overdrive adequate to the environment
of the user over a long term.
