Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and device for efficiently evaluating the Feed-through pipeline stage number of a chip. The method comprises: S1, evaluating the shape and size of each physical implementation unit, the position of a Feed-through pipeline register of each stage, and the positions of a port and a port register on the basis of a complete gate-level circuit of each physical implementation unit in a chip; S2, generating an RTL code of a simplified model for Feed-through evaluation on the basis of an original RTL code of each physical implementation unit, and performing logic synthesis on the RTL code of the simplified model of each physical implementation unit to generate a gate-level circuit of a full-chip Feed-through evaluation simplified model; S3, adding a physical constraint to each physical unit on the basis of a result of step S1; and S4, performing full-chip physical implementation evaluation on the basis of the gate-level circuit of the Feed-through evaluation simplified model in step S2, the physical constraints formed in step S3, and sequential constraints of the Feed-through evaluation simplified model. The embodiments of the present invention can implement accurate evaluation of the stage number of the Feed-through pipeline register at the early stage of chip research and development, shorten an evaluation period, and reduce a workload.
