Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a coating composition which does not contain any pollutant, such as a harmful heavy metal compound, that causes environmental pollution and which can reveal excellent antifouling per performance.
CONSTITUTION: An unsaturated bond is introduced into a polylysine, which is copolymerized with an unsaturated monomer to give a polylysine-containing water-insoluble polymer comprising a water-insoluble polymer grafted with the polylysine. The obtained polymer is used as the binder resin for thus coating composition.
