Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet finishing device that can form a booklet of the binding having a good outward appearance without recesses or scratches, the booklet that is uniform in the longitudinal thickness of the back when the back of the booklet is planarized by a roller.SOLUTION: The booklet finishing device includes: a booklet holding part for holding a booklet by at least two surfaces coming in contact with the front and rear side of the booklet, respectively; a forming-roller perpendicular to the front and rear side of the booklet and coming in contact with the back; a first roller coming in contact with the vicinity of the back from the surface side of the booklet and moving along with the forming-roller; and a second roller coming in contact with the vicinity of the back from the back side of the booklet and moving along with the forming-roller. The first roller and the second roller move along the back with the forming-roller while holding the front and rear side of the vicinity of the back, and thereby the forming-roller deforms the pad of the back so as to push it between the first roller and the second roller and the back is planarized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
