Abstract:

To provide a clothing dryer which can detect rotational abnormality of a drum early.

A clothing dryer comprises: a tube-shaped drum 13 containing clothing M; ventilation and exhaust means 22 ventilating and exhausting the air in the drum 13; heating means 18 heating the air supplied in the drum 13 by the ventilation and exhaust means 22; a rotational sensor 32 detecting position of a detected unit 31 rotating with the rotation of the drum 13; control means executing drying operation which is sending the air heated by the heating means 18 into the drum 13 while repeating rotation and reverse rotation of the drum 13; and position recognition means recognizing a stopping position of the drum 13 when the drum 13 is reversed in the drying operation based on the positional information of the detected unit 31. The control means has control structure stopping and reversing the drum at a stopping position of the drum recognized by the position recognition means when reversal of the drum is indicated.
