Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a color image forming device capable of highly accurately superimposing monochromatic images on respecitve color plates one on another without the occurrence of exposure position deviation in a sub-scanning direction.
CONSTITUTION: This color image forming device has an intermediate transfer body 10 to which a developed monochromatic image on a photoreceptor 1 is transferred, a detection means 71 detecting marks 41A to 41F provided on the transfer body 10 at a specifed position, a controlling means 52 making a latent image forming means start forming an electrostatic latent image according to the detection timing of the means 71, and a means 51 controlling phase for making the latent image forming means start forming the electrostatic latent image by the detection timing, the means 51 controlling the phase selects the control of the phase, i.e., selects whether the phase is to be made to lead or lag in accordance with the detection timing. Thus, the positions for starting forming the electrostatic latent iamges can be matched with each other for respective monochromatic images.
