To provide a detection system, along with signal processing method, for precisely detecting a light source for an object to be imaged or an object irradiated with the light source, for clearly imaging the object.

A detection system (10) includes an imaging part (12) which images a light source (11) or an object (OBJ) irradiated with the light source, operation parts (134, 135, and 137) which perform operation for detecting a state of light source or object based on output signal levels of the imaging port, and an object extracting part (138) which compares an opeation value of the operation part with a threshold value and extracts an operation value which exceeds the threshold value as an operation value that is based on the output signal component of the object or light source.
