Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage means that can properly stop the operation of a sense amplifier even in the worst delay time state which is predicted in the reading operation of the sense amplifier.
SOLUTION: In a storage means 1000 such as a ROM in an electric power consumption-reducing device a dummy cells 15 are arranded respectively on two bit lines BL (DM) provided on a word line WL and at thermost distant position from a word line decoder WD, at the same time, in responce to an output pattern based on the information of each dummy cell 15 having been read via a dummy sense amplifier 102, the operation of the sense amplifier 101 connected to the other bit lines BL is stopped.
