Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the breakdown by static electricity from occurring in the internal circuit of a driving circuit chip for driving a liquid crystal display panel.
CONSTITUTION: A distance X between a protecting member 22 and proximate connecting terminal groups 26 and 27 is set to ≥1mm. Therefore, even when the static electricity of comparatively high voltage is charged over the protecting member 22, discharge from the member 22 to the proximate connecting terminal is not caused. Thus, the static electricity is prevented from being impressed on the driving circuit chip 30 connected to the terminal group 26, and the breakdown of the internal circuit of the driving circuit chip 30 is prevented.
