To enable a gate body to be opened and closed both inward and outward in a structure as simple as possible.

A supporting shaft 41 of an opening and closing hinge 4 is fixed to a surface, facing the door end-side gatepost 1b, of a hinged-side gatepost 1a; a bearing 46 is protrusively arranged in such a manner as to be flush with the upper and lower ends of a stile 21 of a gate body 2; and the gate body 2 is supported in a hanging state by constituting the opening and closing hinge 4 as a pivot hinge type. A latch bolt 63, which is urged in a protruding direction in such a manner as to individually and freely protrude and recede, and a push plate 66, which makes the latch bolt 63 simultaneously recede in synchronization with a handle 3, are arranged between the door end of the gate body 2 and the door end-side gatepost 1b. An operation of the handle 3 enables opening and closing; the latch bolt on one of the inside and the outside permits the passage of the gate body 2 when the gate body 2 is pushed in a closing direction; and the latch bolt 63 on the other one of the inside and the outside serves as a stopper for the gate body 2, so that the gate body 2 can be automatically locked.
