Title:
INSULATION-COATED CONDUCTIVE PARTICLE, ANISOTROPIC CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE FILM, AND THEIR MANUFACTURING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009170414
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide insulation-coated conductive particles for use in an anisotropic conductive adhesive film with excellent insulation between adjacent circuit electrodes on the same substrate and conductivity between circuit electrodes facing each other in the connection of the circuit electrodes.

An insulation-coated conductive particle 10 comprises a conductive particle 8 having a base particle and many metal plating layers covering at least a part of the base particle surface, and insulating fine particles 6 covering at least a part of the surface of the conductive particle 8. The base particle is composed of a resin particle having an average particle size of not more than 4.0 m. The conductive particle 8 has at least one functional group selected among a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, an alkoxy group and an alkoxycarbonyl group on the surface, and the insulating fine particle 6 is composed of an inorganic oxide fine particle having a hydroxyl group on the surface.
