Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a welding material, which can be effectively utilized to inner face build-up and roll build-up demanding property of corrosion resistance and wear resistance by specifying molten steel composition.

CONSTITUTION: Steel strip having ≤0.15mm thickness is directly cast from the molten steel containing wt% of 25.0-35.0% Cr and 8.0-22.0% Ni by a molten steel rapid cooling method. Successively, as the rapidly cooled strip obtd. in such way is too thin as the strip for welding, finally, this is folded over into few layers to longitudinal direction so as to match to the prescribed thickness and made to the high chromium two phase stainless strip having ≥0.3mm thickness through the above piling-up process.
