Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weld-joint a metal body such as a base attached to a hole provided in a plated steel sheet such as a mission oil pan so as to block the hole firmly and with high hermetic sealability when welding by hermetic sealing.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a welding method where a punching hole is opened through a plated steel sheet to insert a metal body into the punching hole and then the metal body and the plated steel sheet are made to carry welding current to weld both by resistance. A metal body for projection weld junction to a plated steel sheet and a junction method are characterized in that the punching hole is closed with the metal body by pushing a metal body provided with an annular projection which has a larger inner diameter than the inner diameter of the punching hole to make both carry weld current during push-in or after push-in.
