Title:
ORGANIC LIGHT-EMITTING DIODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012060094
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an organic light-emitting diode which emits light in a near-infrared region.

An organic light-emitting diode 1 of the prevent invention includes at least an anode layer 12, a light-emitting layer 13, and a cathode layer 14 which are laminated on a substrate 11. The light-emitting layer 13 has its host material, which is made of a conductive high polymer material, doped with a dopant having an emission peak wavelength in an infrared region. For the conductive high polymer material, poly(2-methoxy-5-(3'-7'-dimethyloctyloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene (MDMO-PPV), a kind of polyphenylene vinylon containing polymer, is preferable. For the dopant, 5,5-dichloro-3,3'-diethyl-11-diphenylamino-10,12-ethylenethiatricarbocyanine perchlorate (IR-140), or a low molecular system pigment material, is preferable.
