Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus for manufacturing a pipe for golf club shaft, fishing rod, etc., and capable of immediately detecting the unwrapped state of a tape.
SOLUTION: This pipe manufacturing apparatus is provided with braider units 2 to deliver yarns F' for forming a braided pipe layer P on the surface of a mandrel M, a tape wrapping apparatus 3 for delivering a tape T to be wound on the braided layer and a tape breakage detection apparatus 20 for detecting the breakage of the tape. The tape breakage detection apparatus 20 is provided with a pair of contacts contacting with the tape T wound on the braided layer P and a current detection circuit 21 for detecting the electric current passed between the contacts. These contacts are composed of a pair of conductive swing-prevention rollers pressing the surface of the mandrel.
