PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection sensor and rotary electric machine capable of making assembly work easy.SOLUTION: A position detection sensor 6 comprises: circuit boards 55A, 55B, 55C on which Hall ICs 50a to 50d for detecting a magnetic flux of a rotor's magnet are mounted; a sensor holder 70 in which insertion parts 56 of the circuit boards 55A, 55B, 55C are accommodated; a sensor weight 90 that is attached to the sensor holder 70 to prevent the circuit boards 55A, 55B, 55C from slipping out from the sensor holder 70; and an outer frame member 20 for holding the sensor holder 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
