PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information service system which makes the ID of an originating terminal secret to the outside of an exchange network, provides information for an incoming terminal unlimitedly to a special number and charges the terminal for the information, and prevents position information from being fraudulently altered and data from being unauthorizedly reused.
SOLUTION: An ID update center is provided which distributes a terminal ID-position information conversion DB to the incoming terminal when the incoming terminal makes a contract. The originating terminal periodically updates its terminal ID in synchronism with the ID update center. The originating terminal sends the terminal ID to the termination side and the incoming terminal retrieves corresponding position information from the held ID-position information conversion DB by using the terminal ID as an index.
