Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently make good use of the feature of a probe memory in which probes increasing a reproducing sensitivity and remarkably increasing the recording density of an information recording medium are utilized.
SOLUTION: Reproducing laser beams 201 (spot light) are simultaneously radiated on plural probes 203 mounted on a slider 202 and being capable of moving independently to generate reflected light 204. Respective probes 203 respectively and independently bring about interaction with the recording part 109 of an information recording medium 113. These changes are detected by photodetectors 205 respectively having more divisions than two divisions. Detection values of respective photodetectors 205 are calculated as the total sum of total reflected light quantities by a control means 207 to be outputted as the reproduced signal of one recording part 109. Moreover, an operation signal is outputted to a head rough adjusting and fine adjusting mechanism 206 by the control means 207 based on the plural detection values and then a highly accurate tracking is performed.
