Abstract:

To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material superior in rapid processing aptitude and image density and good in silver color tone.

This photosensitive material has a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer composed of silver halide grains each having (100) faces in parallel to each other as principal faces and a silver chloride content of ≥50mol% on a support and this photosensitive material is formed by drying in the conditions expressed by 2.0≤T/(DB-WB)≥10.0 during a time T (sec) required for drying from a water content of 500% to 50%, where DB is a dry bulb temperature of drying air stream being in the 28°C to 45°C and WB is a wet bulb temperature of the drying air stream being in 18°C-38°C.
