This stoppage guide device 1 has a controller 3, a position detector 4, a map data input device 5, a display 8, a speaker 9, an on-vehicle camera 15 and the like. The controller 3 judges the presence of the intersection predicted to stop the own vehicle when the own vehicle travels, acquires size information of the right- or left-turning vehicle in the intersection, when the intersection predicted to stop the own vehicle exists, estimates the travel area of the right- or left-turning vehicle, based on the acquired size information of the right- or left-turning vehicle and the configuration of the intersection, and conducts a guide to stop travel in a position in this side of a boundary of the estimated travel area.
