Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0627709
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a good image free from an abnormal image such as the surface stain and black stripes by forming a protective layer by dispersing conductive particulates in a specific polyaryl sulfonic resin.

CONSTITUTION: In an electrophotographic photosensitive material in which a ground coat layer is provided on a conductive base material as occasion demands, and thereon, respective layers are laminated in the order of a charge- production layer, a charge-transport layer, an intermediate layer, and a protective layer, or in the order of a charge-transport layer, a charge-production layer, an intermediate layer, and a protective layer; the protective layer is made up by dispersing conductive particulates in the polyaryl sulfonic resin expressed by the formula. In this case, as the conductive particulates, metallic oxides such as tin oxide, titanium oxide, indium oxide, and antimony oxide are preferable. The polyaryl sulfonic resin is excellent in heat resistance, high in mechanical strength, and also excellent in wear resistance. Since the polyaryl sulfonic resin is excellent even in the dispersibility of metallic oxide particulates, a good coating film due to a dispersion coating solution can be obtained.
