PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an engine to unfailingly start during a cold time.SOLUTION: A torque converter 100 includes a torque converter body 2 and a rotary electric machine 3. The torque converter body 2 has a front cover 21, an impeller 22, and a turbine 23. The rotary electric machine 3 has a stator 31 and a rotor 32. The rotor 32 has a rotation axis set to a center axis of an output shaft of an engine. An outer shell of the torque converter body 2 is formed by a non-magnetic material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
