Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To very safely execute theyapy irrespective of the degree of mastery of an technique, the age of a patient or the like and cleanly execute therapy and instrument management.
SOLUTION: A cutting terminal 3 held at the tip of a holder 1 is vibrated by an ultrasonic vibrator 2 mounted in the holder 1, and gutta-percha is cut by this vibration. The cutting terminal 3 is connected detachably to a chuck 4 provided at the tip of the holder 1. The chuck comprises a connecting rod connecting detachably to the ultrasonic vibrator, an operating screw portion fastened to the tip of the connecting rod by a screw and a plurality of pinching pieces stored in the operating screw portion and pinching the cutting terminal. The cutting terminal 3 is disposably formed of a metal or plastic material.
