Abstract:

The mechanism to select and present a weft yarn (30), to be caught by the weft insertion unit (31) in a loom, has a drive motor (4) linked to a control, to move the feeder (3) between an inactive and an active position. The control has a system to shift the feeder (3) during the weft (30) insertion out of the presenting position into an intermediate setting between it and the rest position.
