Abstract:
An imaging device is provided with an imaging element having an imaging area for photographing the image of a subject via a lens that adjusts the in-focus position of an optical system, a setting unit for setting an imaging condition for the imaging area, a selection unit for selecting a pixel to be used for interpolation from pixels included in the imaging area, and a control unit for controlling the drive of the lens in accordance with the in-focus state of the optical system detected using a signal interpolated by a signal that is outputted from the pixel selected by the selection unit. At least some of the pixels selected by the selection unit are different depending on the imaging condition set by the setting unit.
