Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a possibility to more efficiently utilize scallop mantle that is a fishery waste. [Solution] A lipid absorption promoter that comprises a decomposition product of scallop mantle proteins as an active ingredient, and a food, a drink and a feed for nonhuman animals containing the same. The lipid absorption promoter according to the present invention has a high safety and, therefore, can be either taken as such or processed into foods and drinks in various forms and used. Further, the lipid absorption promoter according to the present invention can be added to other foods, drinks or animal feeds to thereby give foods, drinks or feeds having a lipid absorption promoting effect.
