Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device such that display defects in a video display part can be suppressed, display quality in the video display part and a transmissive part can be improved, visibility in the transmissive part can be improved, and long-term reliability can be improved.
The present invention is a liquid crystal display device provided with the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel includes: a transmissive part (6B) with which the rear part of the liquid crystal display panel is visible; a video display part (6A) that includes a plurality of pixels and on which video is displayable; a first liquid crystal layer (5A) provided so as to correspond with the video display part (6A); a second liquid crystal layer (5B) provided so as to correspond with the transmissive part (6B); and a seal (52) that surrounds the second liquid crystal layer (5B). The first liquid crystal layer (5A) and the second liquid crystal layer (5B) are separated by the seal (52).
