Abstract:

A method for bending a plate-shaped workpiece, whereby a concave part (1) is formed in the inner surface on the inside of the bend, at the crossing position (CP) of the bending line (BL) of the workpiece (W) and the terminal edge (WE) of the workpiece (W), with the depth of the concave part from the inner surface gradually decreasing as the distance increases in three directions, that is, the direction from the crossing position (CP) along the bending line (BL) and the two directions away from the crossing position along the terminal edge (WE), and the depth from the terminal edge (WE) along the bending line (BL) gradually decreasing, after which the workpiece is bent along the bending line (BL).
