Abstract:
This rotation angle detection device (50) for detecting a rotation angle of an object comprises: an incremental-type rotation scale (510) that rotates integrally with the object and has, in a region along the circumferential direction of rotation, a detection region (514) in which a scale for detecting the rotation angle is formed, and a non-detection region (516) that sandwiches the detection region and in which the scale is not formed; and a detection unit (520) for acquiring, from an input signal that is based on a positional displacement of the scale in the detection region which changes in accordance with a displacement of the rotation angle of the object, at least an electrical signal which periodically changes in correspondence with the positional displacement of the scale in the detection region.
