Abstract:
A pneumatic tire (10) comprises: a tread (40) that contacts a road surface; and a pair of inclined belts (61, 63) with crossed cords. In the pneumatic tire (10), the volume of a groove formed in the tread (40) on the side which is inward with reference to a tire equator (CL) at the time of installation to a vehicle is smaller than the volume of a groove formed in the tread (40) on the side which is outward with reference to the tire equator (CL) at the time of installation to the vehicle. The pneumatic tire (10) comprises a reinforcing belt (70) that extends between the inclined belts (61, 63) and the tread (40) and along the tire width direction and the tire diameter direction, and that covers a plurality of reinforcing cords which are disposed at a predetermined distance away. The reinforcing belt (70) is provided from the side which is outward at the time of installation to the vehicle to the side which is inward at the time of installation to the vehicle.
