Abstract:
To provide a metal-clad laminate in which the anisotropy and thermal expansion of an insulating film are alleviated.SOLUTION: In a metal-clad laminate 1 having a laminated structure of an insulating film 20 and metal foil 10, a laminated surface 20a of the insulating film 20 with respect to at least the metal foil 10 is formed of a liquid crystal polyester layer 21 which is a baking coating film fixed on the surface of the metal foil 10. Preferably, a filler-added layer 22 made of a synthetic resin to which an insulating inorganic filler is added is formed on the liquid crystal polyester layer 21 to make the insulating film 20 into a multilayer structure. Since the liquid crystal polyester layer 21 formed as the baking coating is non-oriented, the anisotropy can be alleviated. Addition of the insulating inorganic filler makes the coefficient of linear expansion of the insulating film 20 closer to the coefficient of linear expansion of the metal foil 10, thereby preventing warpage and distortion of the metal-clad laminate 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
