Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: The compound of formula I (R1 is cycloalkyl, bicycloalkyl, adamantyl, 4-piperidinyl, 1- or 2-indanyl, etc.; R2 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, arylalkyl, alkanoyl, etc.; R1 and R2 together with N form pyrrolidino, piperidino, perhydroazepino, morpholino, etc.; R, is H3 alkyl, halogen or alkokxy) or its acid addition salts.
EXAMPLE: 4-(N-methylcyclohexylamino)-1,2-dihydroxynaphthalene.
USE: 5-lipoxygenase inhibitors.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is obtained by allowing 1,2naphthoquinone derivative of formula II (R8 is eliminating group) to react with an amine of formula III, and reducing the compound of formula IV thus obtained with an appropriate reducing agent.
