Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold pressing apparatus used when manufacturing an optical element molded in a desired shape by press-molding a molded raw material housed inside a molding by heating while controlling the temperature for each molding supported by a support base, capable of suppressing heat influence on the molding from the support base supporting the molding, and mass-producing highly precise optical devices stably by performing temperature control of the molding more precisely, and to provide a manufacturing method of the optical element.SOLUTION: A mold pressing apparatus is configured to support a molding M on a support base 3 while interposing therebetween a pedestal unit 5 which includes at least a holding plate 52 having a plurality of holding holes 52a formed therein, and rolling bodies 53 each of which is rollably held inside the holding hole 52a. In the pedestal unit, the rolling body 53 is housed inside the holding hole 52a in such a manner that a part of the rolling body 53 is protruded on the surface of the holding plate 52. By such configuration, the lower surface of the molding M is supported by the rolling bodies 53 by point contact.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
