Abstract:
The present invention comprises: a substrate; and an optical waveguide layer that is positioned on the top surface of the substrate and is provided with a cladding and a core positioned within the cladding. The cladding comprises a plurality of first recess portions which are each provided with a bottom surface and a first inner wall surface that is positioned surrounding the bottom surface and is inclined such that the top side of the first inner wall surface is positioned further outward in comparison to the bottom side of said surface.
